Pillow Finishing
Your worked canvas becomes a finished pillow. The piece is blocked back to true, backed in a complementary fabric, and edged with hand-twisted cording, with a knife edge or a welted edge as the design suggests.
Pillows suit designs from roughly 8 x 8 inches upward. If you are unsure whether your canvas is well suited to a pillow, send us a photograph and the finished dimensions and we will advise before you post it.
Two prices. Any Pierrepont design, wherever you bought it, is finished at the Pierrepont price; a canvas from elsewhere is finished at the price for other canvases. Choose the one that applies when you order, and tell us in the order notes which design it is. We confirm when the canvas arrives, and if the wrong price was chosen we will write to you before finishing begins.
Before you send your canvas. Please leave at least two inches of bare canvas on every side; this margin is essential for blocking and construction. There is no need to trim, press, or block the piece yourself — that work is ours. Once you place your finishing order, we will write to you with detailed shipping instructions.
Turnaround. Approximately six weeks from the day your canvas reaches us. We will confirm the timeline when your piece is received, and we will write to you when it ships.
Shipping and terms. The price includes the return postage on the finished piece, sent by a tracked service. Please post your canvas within thirty days of placing the order so that we can hold your place in the schedule, and send it tracked, since a completed canvas represents many hours of your work. Once Finishing has begun, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded. A ruffle, a fabric border, boxed sides, a door hanger, and other treatments may be added from our Finishing Add-Ons.
